My TED talk question is “To what extent does extended cell phone use connect to negative genetic mutations and cancer?”. In this video I talked mostly about how the RF and EMF waves emitted from cell phones can affect our health. Here are my sources:

Hi Edward,
This was a very engaging talk! The animation program you used was neat, professional, and followed a logical sequence that added to the overall impression of your ted talk. Your explanations were clear and concise. Your topic is very relevant.
I’ll make a conscious effort to diminish my cell phone use!

A question I have is how it affects different age groups?

A very informative TED Talk, Edward! Your descriptions of the different types of radiation helped get the point across that cellphones can have dangerous impacts on humans. It was crazy to learn how much time my phone was spending in my pocket, and what affects it has on my health. You also had really nice visuals that helped demonstrate your points. Although your presentation included a lot of important facts, it didn’t feel boring, which can sometimes happen with fact-heavy presentations. Your presentation led me to wonder, how can cellphones alter your DNA and what mutations will result from that? With this new technology, we are now starting to learn more about the negative impacts of cellphones. In time, we may find even more health problems that result from cellphone use. In order to make the presentation flow smoother, you might want to speed up the writing/drawing speed of the program you used to make the presentation. Sometimes the hand was slower than the speed you were talking at which made the timing a little bit off.
Great TED Talk!

Edward, great video! I really enjoyed how you were able to slowly break down complex concepts so that the average person could understand them. I found it interesting, how even putting our phones in our pockets could make such a big impact and has such a small fix. We don’t really notice these things because we’ve become so attached to our cell phones, that thing like our health seem second to that. I feel that the youth, and adults, of today should really be educated on things like this because even though cell phones are really useful, they an also cause us a lot of harm if we don’t use them with caution.
I’m curious on how our cell phones impact us when we are just using them to browse, such as going through social media or playing games. Making a phone call means putting our phones straight to our head and using signal, but usually games or social media means your phone is further away from your body. Does this have a difference on the RF waves and if so by how much?
Again, very engaging presentation, I definitely learned something!

I also found your inquiry topic very interesting. The speculation of harmful consequences emitted from my phone was always been a heavily debated argument in my family and your TED talk has informed me of evidence that in fact, it does. The use of your animation software made the video easy to follow since there were arrows and text being drawn on the screen that helped back up your narrated facts. I found myself captivated during the whole duration of your video. I love how the beginning connects with your ending statement and brings up something most kids have heard their parents say. That lets the audience connect with the video and hooks them into your presentation. Since you concluded that cell phones are harmful, how long would an exposure to a phone be enough to cause serious damage to the human body?

Hey Edward!
First of all, I loved that you chose to research this topic. Cellphone use these days has become a big issue and can be easily debated between people. This video is very informative of all the negative impacts it could have on people. I’m sure my parents would really like to use your TED Talk as evidence for our occasional arguments. I love this video style, the way you incorporated a lot of visuals and interactive components. Something I am curious about is the certain uses of our phone. What forms of cellphone use is the most harmful? I am asking this because many people just use their phones for calls, and others for social media. Overall, amazing job! Keep up the good work.
